金管纪德，银管纪功，斑竹管纪文，隆吾门望；
奇花在庭，奇书在手，奇山水在目，适我性情。
八旬翁樊山樊增祥。
按：抱冰，张之洞号。增祥是之洞弟子，此联即因追念师门恩遇而作。
邓镕《附赠樊樊山先生诗》：“生平恩怨两文襄”；自注：“樊为南皮张文襄高足弟子；又以家怨（即谓樊燮案），不慊于湘阴左文襄。故樊文如‘持桓公之喜怒，惟有王珣’，诗如‘卧龙巾扇到今疑’，诸语皆刺左也”（《荃察馀斋诗存》）。
