恐高可怜 懒惰可恨
上周日，全天停电。本拟蒙头睡至黄昏再起床。中午，接了个电话，叫我出去吃饭。先拒绝，过了半小时，睡意找不见了，无奈，起床赴约。吃饭聊天至午後三点，三人一道步行回小区。途中有一桥，距水面不足二十米，甚可能只有十米多一点。我走最前面，所历苦不可言。桥两侧为人行道，极窄，并行二人即有摩肩失踵之虞。桥有拦，极矮，差及于脐，毋庸藉手即可翻越。走在人行道上，左手边汽车呼啸而过，失足遽应殒命，右手边河水浑浊可厌，倾跌即已湿身。危矣险哉。同行的朋友似乎没有危机感，他们侃侃而谈，不时还让我插话。于是，我硬着头皮，谨言慎行。好不容易过了桥，赶紧去路边小店买烟，抽上一支，镇定心神。顷读网友蹦极游记，在南非从二百米高处跃下，一次不过瘾，竟再跳了一次，且为女子。与较，鄙人真是愧为须眉。恐高症者可怜如此。
昨夜西风凋碧树，秋意已具。床上仍铺竹席，睡来冷透胸背。内子出差，鄙人懒惯，无人为换床单，遂仅施薄被，拟勉强糊弄一夜。谁知天道有常，自欺欺人者终必自尝苦果。五点睡下，至九点，左足大拇指如受电击，紧接着，左边小腿抽筋，剧痛难忍。徒自在床上呼天不应，乃尽力调整体位，以左足抵住床头，忍痛以右足加于左膝，强行压平左腿，坚持了十几秒，疼痛稍减。再过几分钟，赶紧下床找出床单，撤换竹席。继续睡觉。虽暖和不少，但不时觉得小腿肌肉紧张有再次抽筋的危险，乃调整姿势，按摩肌肉，如此反复不已，直到十一时许，方能再次入睡。刚开始做梦，旋接电话一通，谈盗版事，耗时十几分钟。于是，半梦半醒状态维持了一两个小时，才又睡踏实。一觉醒来，已是黄昏。原定午后一时起床，已成虚愿。误事甚多，懒人可恨。
可怜者有可恨处，可恨者有可怜处。嗟夫。抄一段卫生常识与同患者共勉。
抽筋的学名叫肌肉痉挛，是一种肌肉自发的强直性收缩。发生在小腿和脚趾的肌肉痉挛最常见，发作时疼痛难忍，尤其是半夜抽筋时往往把人痛醒，有好长时间不能止痛，且影响睡眠。引起腿脚抽筋的常见原因大体有以下几种：
①外界环境的寒冷刺激，如冬季夜里室温较低，睡眠时盖的被子过薄或腿脚露到被外。
②疲劳、睡眠、休息不足或休息过多导致局部酸性代谢产物堆积，均可引起肌肉痉挛。如走路或运动时间过长，使下肢过度疲劳或休息睡眠不足，都可使乳酸堆积；睡眠休息过多过长，血液循环减慢，使二氧化碳堆积等。
③老年妇女雌激素下降，骨质疏松，都会使血钙水平过低，肌肉应激性增加，而常发生痉挛。
④睡眠姿势不好，如长时间仰卧，使被子压在脚面，或长时间俯卧，使脚面抵在床铺上，迫使小腿某些肌肉长时间处于绝对放松状态，引起肌肉“被动挛缩”。
小腿抽筋发作时该怎么办呢?根据不同的原因采取下列不同的对策，可以很快解除痉挛而止痛。当发生抽筋时，只要据“反其道而行之”，即朝其作用力相反的方向扳脚趾并坚持l～2分钟以上，即可收效。具体来说，如果是小腿后面的肌肉抽筋，可一方面扳脚使脚板翘起，一方面尽量伸直膝关节；当小腿前面的肌肉抽筋时，可压住脚板并用力扳屈脚趾。
