奔溪与奔山
宋人杨万里《桂源岭》：“万山不许一溪奔， 拦得溪声日夜喧， 到得前头山脚尽， 堂堂溪水出前村”；此诗经胡适书赠雷震，一时广为人知。比日读清人郑珍诗，《同黄小谷家达登双清亭》云：“奔山东南来，蜿蜒欲度水，资邵不相让，并力遏之止”；与前诗相映成趣。
小溪与大山，粗一看，势力悬殊，然最终堂堂而出的只能是小溪，大山徒劳而已。
又、段玉裁注“奔”字：“凡赴急曰奔，凡出亡曰奔”；小溪赴川，与众流汇，其义合焉，故堂堂而出。大山作蜿蜒欲度之象，实则无急可赴，不过是摆pose，故被水扼宜也。
且小溪不奔，必为死水；大山乱动，必为地震。然则，山静水动，仁者智者各安其分，方是真道理。
