《养知书屋文集》卷七《名贤手札跋后》：
胡文忠公尝谓骆文忠公：萧何举曹参，诸葛公举费禕、董允，古人经世宏务，非独私其身而已。盍早图之？其勤勤于嵩焘，意盖有所属也。
按此玉池老人终身之痛也。已抚粤矣，而为湘阴劾罢。而此谓益阳属花县觅替人，竟无意于左而“勤勤”于郭；然以益阳平日品鉴论之，宜荐左而后郭也。奕詝批湘乡靖港之役摺，云：岂已昏愦耶？正可迻评此跋。一笑。
