元亨利贞

聂世美整理《偶斋诗草》，上海古籍2005年出版，《前言》云：
中国社科院文学所图书馆藏有一钞本《竹坡诗草》，亦分四集，集名依次为元、亨、利、贞。显然，此本集名乃取义于《周易革卦》卦辞：巳日乃孚。元亨，利贞，悔亡。据孔颖达《正义》云云（略），不管所钞者是否已有“改制革命”意识，其以“元亨利贞”名集而蕴含的“悔亡”意义是一目了然的。换言之，即对自己的一生所为无怨无悔，至死不改其初衷。
鄙人未读过周易，更不知道宝廷写诗还跟革卦大有关系。赶紧拿来一本周易，准备认真体会元亨利贞的意思。谁知道周易第一卦乾卦，就明白写着：“乾，元亨利贞”。第二卦，也明白写着：“屯，元亨利贞”。接下来，随、临、无妄、革诸卦，都说是元亨利贞。编者是如何判断出这个钞本“乃取义于《周易革卦》卦辞”的呢？依愚见，说它取义于“大哉乾元万物资始”的乾卦，岂不更和谐？不得不怀疑编者牵强附会，有乱来的嫌疑。此外，若不仅革卦有此四字，那接下来极富文学性的“无怨无悔”云云，简直就是胡说八道了。
其实，求那么深干吗呢？甲乙丙丁，天地玄黄，周吴郑王，这些字用来排序，就是一二三四的意思。
全书还未细看，不能因这个常识性的错误就对编者整理古籍的能力产生婶婶的怀疑。但是，不能无疑。
