写在状纸边上·从庞青云谈起

出现过很多次史学工作者指责文艺作品特别是电影电视罔顾历史“真实”的闹剧。且不论如假包换的的历史“真实”到底有没有，也不说史学工作者对影视工作者指指点点是否有外行指导内行的嫌疑，更不说这种捞过界行为是不是有红眼病的因素，只说，以历史为题材的影视作品，其本质终归是电影，终归是电视剧，终归是文艺而非历史。文艺作品有自己的规矩，有自己的“真实”；无征不信，多闻阙疑，并非文艺作品必须遵循的原则。更妙的是，哪怕没有一星半点历史“真实”，若真遇上会编会导会演会剪的最佳拍档，风雲际会，一时之选，他们的作品极有可能让观众感受到什么是历史，什么是真实。对芸芸观众来说，这种感受是很难在汗牛充栋的历史著作中找到的。
只有基于这种“理论认知”，谈一谈与电影《投名状》有关的历史事实，才会有趣，而非“核突”。当然，虽已标出这种“认知”，并不表示鄙人就觉得《投名状》是一部好电影。惟此栏既名“野史正”，则所谈范围，仅限于史实，不涉及文艺评价，敬祈读者鉴之。所谓谈者，漫谈而已。先从主角庞青雲谈起。
电影中，庞青雲字鹿山，所部称“山字营”。众所周知，《投名状》的创作灵感来自晚清“刺马”案，也就是说，庞青雲的原型应是马新贻。按，新贻字穀山，号燕门，山东菏泽人。他家四兄弟，大哥新郁，二哥新沐，新贻行三，小弟新祐，可知，他们这一辈的谱字是“新”字。古人的名、字与号，意义多有联系，譬如，新贻为名，穀山为字，典出《诗•小雅•天保》：“俾尔戬穀”。俾与贻，意思差不多；穀是禄的意思。而新贻号燕门，则典出《诗•大雅•文王有声》：“诒厥孙谋，以燕翼子”；诒与贻通，燕是安的意思。串起来讲，可说，马新贻字穀山，表达了对祖宗父母赐福于己的感恩；号燕门，则表达了羽翼子孙、造福後人的愿望。继往开来，仰侍俯蓄，一门之内，乐也融融。
回头，再分析电影主角的名字。名青雲，无非暗示他追求高官显爵的野心；字鹿山，则应从穀山化出，因为穀有禄义，穀山即是禄山，而禄山谐音则成了鹿山。若编剧给角色取名的思路真如上述，那得赞他一句心思甚巧。只是，青雲与鹿山，词义无关联，不如原型人物的名字来的典雅。至于“山字营”，则不是凭空杜撰。同治二年，马新贻守蒙城，对抗苗沛霖（著名捻军首领），麾下一支部队的番号就称为“山字营”，由练勇组成，归游击徐登善、黄体元统带。
然而，马新贻带的第一支军队，名为“捷勇”。咸丰五年，他任合肥县令，发现县人王二条因诉讼所累，被“行政拘留”，此人“有胆气，谙地势”，在土匪蜂起的时代，算个人才，于是，他特命释放王二条，令他募勇百人，戴罪立功。二条旋即立下战功，赏戴蓝翎；马新贻也因此升任直隶州知州，心情大好，遂将王二条的部队命名为“捷勇”。
在此之前，马新贻作了七年县令，参与了几项准军事行动，皆为整治地方治安，捕捉流氓土匪。再前，则纯是书生，不懂得舞枪弄棒。他六岁开蒙，二十一岁入学，二十六岁中举，明年成进士，以知县即用，签发安徽。自此，官运不错，不过二十年，做到了总督高位。这种经历，与庞青雲出身行伍，终膺疆寄，有本质不同。因为马新贻通过最高级的科举考试，步入仕途，算是“正途”；庞青雲由武职改文职，即在太平天囯战争期间，也是不常见的事。
